Well known treatment experts, Harry Brandt, MD and Steven Crawford, MD, have led the professional staff at The Center for Eating Disorders for over 25 years. PSYCHIATRIST Openings:

Inpatient/Partial Hospitalization Attending Psychiatrist
Psychiatrist will lead a multidisciplinary treatment team in the assessment and care of patients with eating disorders.  This position combines the excitement of a clinical and academic environment with the opportunity to train psychiatric fellows, post-doctoral psychologists, social work interns, and University of Maryland medical residents.  Maryland license required.

Outpatient Attending Psychiatrist
The outpatient psychiatrist will complete new patient evaluations, level of care assessments, and pharmacological management.  Psychiatrist will have an opportunity to provide ongoing individual, group and family therapy and will work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team including psychologists, social workers, dietitians, and expressive art therapists.  Maryland license required.

Eating Disorder Psychiatric Fellowship - Attractive salary, supervision and educational benefits
In partnership with the University of Maryland, the Center for Eating Disorders is offering a one-year fellowship on our inpatient/partial hospitalization unit starting July 1, 2017.  Training goals include developing 1.) a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic criteria, etiology, and co-morbidity of patients with eating disorders;  2.) an ability to complete diagnostic assessments on patients with eating disorders;  3.) skills to initiate individualized treatment plans providing recommendations for level of care needs, as well as psychopharmacologic, individual, group and family therapy.  4. competency in management of a multidisciplinary treatment team on an eating disorder inpatient/ partialsheppard weinberg entrance.jpg hospitalization unit.  Outstanding fellows may have the opportunity to join the practice upon completion of fellowship.

PSYCHOLOGIST Openings:

Outpatient Psychologist
Experience working with an eating disorder population and applying behavioral/cognitive interventions is strongly preferred.  Psychologist will provide outpatient evidence-based individual and group therapy.  Provider will receive training on developing and applying treatment plans for patients with eating disorders. An excellent candidate will be able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, social workers, dietitians and expressive art therapists.  Maryland license required.

Outpatient Child Psychologist
Experience working with an eating disorder population and applying behavioral/cognitive interventions preferred.  Psychologist will provide outpatient evidence-based individual and group therapy working with patients aged 8 and older.  Provider will receive training on developing and applying treatment plans for children struggling with eating disorders, including Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).  An excellent candidate will be able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, social workers, dietitians and expressive art therapists.  Maryland license and post-doctoral training in child psychology required.

Outpatient Psychologist - Specialized Experience Required
Experience working with an eating disorder population preferred with experience working with patients suffering from trauma-related symptoms required.  Psychologist will provide outpatient evidence-based individual and group therapy.  Provider will receive training on the psychological treatment of eating disorders including CBT and IPT.  An excellent candidate will be able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, social workers, dietitians and expressive art therapists.  Maryland license required.
