Dr. Harry Brandt, director of The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, was featured on WMAR-TV (ABC 2) Baltimore to discuss a controversial new ad campaign that attempts to raise awareness about childhood obesity in Georgia. Dr. Brandt discusses his concerns that these TV ads may be sending the wrong message to children and their families because they promote negative stereotypes about larger kids and could intensify weight-based bullying among children and adolescents.
